The UK airline is introducing free high-speed onboard internet through satellite deal

Travelers flying with this carrier will soon access high-speed connectivity in the air at no cost due to a recent deal with Elon Musk's satellite provider.

Free plus High-speed Internet for All

British Airways stated that the no-cost, “fast and dependable” connectivity offering through SpaceX becomes offered for customers in economy, business, and premium cabins as of soon.

Widespread Implementation Across Several Flight Operators

The umbrella company of BA, International Airlines Group, stated it had secured an partnership involving Starlink to offer connectivity coverage on over 500 planes across their carriers, which also include the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, and Vueling.

The airline stated that this rollout of the technology was part of a seven billion pound “upgrade” initiative and will provide smooth wifi service for travelers starting at boarding to landing, also when traveling across large bodies of water and remote regions.
