David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles in total, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
